Design Concept
This customed designed-built house for the Bojorquez family is located inside the 610 loop in the Shepherd Area. A neighborhood under current transition. The Bojorquez wanted a simple small
one-story new house to replace the existing old house.
For this project we wanted to propose a project that could keep the existing proportions and style within the neighborhood but with a modern touch. The challenge was also to build under a tight Budget.
Construction Process
The existing old house was removed and then we proceeded to build an elevated pier and beam foundation over concrete blocks.
The main body and structure of the house was completely built with a typical wood frame system. The overall proposed material skim was very standard and affordable due to the limited Budget.
