Design Concept

1950's house modernized to 2019  

Our goal was to transform an existing mid-century modern house in Southwest Houston. We kept some of the existing design features

but proposed to change the roof line by adding a new volume over the entire living area allowing new clear story windows bring sunlight and create high ceilings. We also created a covered back terrace area under the new roof area. The floor plan was reconfigured to achieve an open plan with a modern approach.
