Design Concept

We designed this project based on the overall idea of converting and transforming an existing 1-Storey house into a  New Residence. As every full remodel project + new additions, one has to fully understand the existing conditions to salvage what can be used and accomodate new areas to make them blend with each other. Garden Oaks is a neighborhood in current economical and social transition in the downtown Houston area and there are plenty of this kind of projects where homeowners ask them selves weather to remodel and tranform or completely tear down existings and begin from scratch. In this case we decided to adapt the old with the contemporary.
